Philosophy & History

Since 1954, St. Paul’s School has been committed to providing a strong foundation for our children in a caring and loving environment of Christian faith. The school is an extension of the educational ministry of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, which has a long history of providing quality experiences in a weekday setting for young children.

In 1986, the school administration spurred by confidence in their mission was one of the first schools in the country to pursue accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation confirms that programs are safe, well prepared, and intentional about ensuring children’s success. As a reputable indicator of quality, NAEYC Accreditation correlates with children’s greater readiness and success in school and beyond; increased educational attainment rates; and overall healthier lifestyles. St. Paul’s School has prospered and expanded while maintaining its accreditation continuously since 1986. St. Paul’s School continues its strong commitment toward children by supporting their social emotional and cognitive development, easily exceeding the academic challenges and social expectations brought by society.
